Andy McGeachy was born and raised in Glasgow. He blames his mother for being responsible for his enthusiasm for automobiles when being left alone at a supermarket at the age of 3. In the meantime he entered a car...
Since those days he draws cars. McGeachy holds an industrial transportation design degree, joined the famous Automotive unit of the Royal College of Arts in London, worked for three years for Volkswagen in Germany. Afterwards he started teaching at the Art Center Europe College of Design in Switzerland and is currently working as a freelancer and illustrator. His has created a winter scene with a rallye competition car of the Berlinette. Of course his works comprise a lot more motives of motoring art. McGeachy: " I'm very critical of proportions and detail, but try to capture the dynamics of a car." After years of enjoying chalks and crayons - both wax and pastell - McGeachy now prefers paint.
